Mission Statement and Goals

A. Mission

Make available state–of–the–art information on evidence–based treatments and interventions for persons with ASD, their families, and professionals caring for these persons in California.

B. Goals

  1. Between June 1, 2005 and December 31, 2007 facilitate a collaborative process to develop consensus on evidence-based treatments and interventions for persons with ASD.
  2. By December 31, 2007 facilitate a collaborative process to develop consensus on recommendations for design, implementation, evaluation and training about evidence-based treatments and interventions for persons with ASD.
  3. By December 31, 2007 develop a document that reflects content derived from above goals, and builds upon the publication ASD Best Practice Guidelines for Screening, Diagnosis and Assessment.
  4. By December 31, 2007 develop a plan to print and disseminate widely the Guidelines document
  5. Throughout the project, coordinate efforts with other similar projects in California and throughout the Nation
